National Strike Day. In Britain.

AKA the day of action, or something.

Not that it'd concern anyone who isn't British of course. I had a day of school because of that, which was cool, and not cool, for several reasons.

I am also doing important chemical equations.

K thx bye

A lot to look forward to?

Its Monday. Wednesday is National Strike Day.

Terraria 1.1 is coming out on Thursday.

...damn.

Anyway, I have received a copy of Pay Day: The Heist, of which some of the words are not recognised by this terrible Spellchecker. I am also going to build a Nether Temple on the Minecraft server I go on, at some point.

Bored anyway? Here have a picture I drew with my (possibly mentioned before new) tablet.

Still need to draw better though. Proportions look wrong :C

Double Vision Thursday

So whilst doing my chemistry homework, I decided to do a little experiment, preferably none chemistry related. Are you short sighted? No? Ok, that's froody, but do you know what the world looks like to someone like me?

Well, I'll show you, using this fancy demonstration:

With out any post processing effects:

But to show you what my vision impairment causes:

Can't see any difference? Well, double vision and blurriness and all that.

Anyway, Rant Over.

Its the 16th of today, this year.

At least, that's what my calender says.

So I tried Skyrim, which was for the most part, quite impressive, albeit slow on my PC. I only went to the first village before I stopped, so I've barely been through start of the game anyway. Usually in these RPG based games I go as the ranged guy, but for a change, I played as an Orc called 'bashing in your face' - imagine seeing that on a letter.

Anyway, I'd like to see how well this game incorporates different playstyles. I'm trying to see how much of an opposite I can play to my brother, who's trying to be a drunken lazy thief with a significant lack in moral compasses (probably because he hsan't stolen any yet). It seems that the thief's playstyle largely involves repossesing anything not nailed down, and drinking copius amounts of reclaimed mead.

You can also gain weapon levels by hitting the guy you're supposed to followed repeatedley during the introduction area.

In other news, Gratuitous Space Battles.

Remember Remebrance Day Day

So yeah, for us Brits (and everyone else probably) Remeberance day is tomorrow, so wear those poppies. On a side note I'm making a 3D Poppy because... because. My sister is watching me type this, and I can say this: Go away and finish your snack, then do your homework and everything else and stop bothering me.

Also, I've been playing Kirby: Mass Attack - which is very silly.

Also, an interesting Web Application

Rant Oeer.

No Flash Photography

Yes, its friday, where everyone goes out and buys drinks or shops in town and such. Because us brits are very priveliged to have our 2 days off (well for some of us). We are on the whole a lazy country, after all.

But these weeks rant is not about that! It is in fact, about... uh, whatever I can think of to rant about. For the sake of saving time I'm going to write down what comes across my mind on a bunch of pages on TV Tropes by hitting the random button.
So let's start.

  1. The Home Page - This is the TV Tropes home page. It appears to have had a slight overhaul since I've last been here. Emebedded videos, wot wot?

  2. Adaption Dye Job - Odd name. Oh wait, bad pun, ohohohohohohoho -OW MY EYES. Kaiba with green hair does that to most people, so that's to be expected

  3. Rock Opera - Never seen this trope before. So it appears to be about rock music that depicts a story, like an opera. Or a badass musical. Anyway, RANDOM

  4. Deadly Closing Credits - Wussat. Oh, that. Yeah people dying or being mortally wounded during these credit types appear to be quite high. Not my concern.

Talking about random, that can be my rant for today I guess.

Well, specifically, acheiving randomness on a program. There are several ways, but surely by creating a random number through a set of commands, it is not truly random. People say only a conscience like, say, a duck, can think up something comepletely random, but this is not true. For example, everyone has a bias, and asking someone who plays football all day to say something random, the likelihood is is that 6/10 times he will probably say something football related, or something he has interacted with recently, like a television. But going back to computers, the random number is truly unbiased, however, it can be easily recreated by simply inputting the right variables. Many RNGs use time, or other constantly changing variables, but again, this is not true randomness. However, sometimes people are not satisfied with just random, but what can be done? They obviously don't want true randomness right? Surely, true randomness can cause all sorts of problems. Well whatever - I'm going to end this post now.

Rant Over (most definately, a word I cannot spell correctly ever...).
